“The Ugly Duckling Family Fundraising Event”

Together with the Singapore Repertory Theatre’s production of the re-telling of the children’s classic ‘The Ugly Duckling, Pistorio Foundation hosted a fundraising event for guests on April 2nd, 2011 in Singapore.

More than 200 children and their families enjoyed this inspirational adaptation of being the ‘odd one out’ told through the magic of songs and puppetry.  Guests at the special showing of this performance included renowned actress from India, Shebana Azmi, along with many Singaporean and expatriate families.

The fundraising event raised more than SGD 5,000 from ticket sales, donors and sponsors of the raffle prizes & refreshments. Proceeds will go toward Pistorio Foundation’s Chiang Rai Village Project for underprivileged children of hill-tribe communities in Thailand, and will help complete the construction of a kindergarten in the village of Baan Mai Pattana.
