Pistorio Foundation Springtime Lunch 2011
The Pistorio Foundation annual Springtime Lunch was held on May 26 and was hosted and sponsored by the chic Oso Ristorante with distinguished guests from the financial and fashion industries as well as prominent local socialites.
The event was a great success and over $43,000 was raised from ticket sales and the Live and Silent auctions.
While guests enjoyed delicious Italian canapés, an inspiring speech was given by founder Pasquale Pistorio. The live auction was then conducted exuberantly by Gianluca Lionetto, with singer and artist Amy Aziza as MC.
The Pistorio Foundation would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our Event Partners, Stephan Colleoni and Diego Chiarini from Oso, to our Media Partner Harper’s Bazaar, to our generous Sponsors and Live and Silent Auction Lot Donors: Small Luxury Hotels of the World, Caran d’Ache, Bruno Gallery, Asiatique Collections, Emilio Pucci, Furla, Gaia restaurant, Passion, Carolyn Strover and Havoc Studios, The Frame Society, Carrot Banana Peach, The AVL Sound, Crabtree & Evelyn, Georgie Ohlsson, Havoc, Kaffe & Te, Nestlé, Moschino Cheap and Chic, Sportsac, and Bim Bam.
The money raised will be put towards our Chiang Rai Village Project in Northern Thailand for the minority hill-tribe children’s education.
$10,000 will go to towards the renovation and expansion of a nursery school in the village of Pakia to include sanitation facilities, a kitchen and a canteen for 30 pre-school children. The rest will go to support the education for an entire year for over 100 underprivileged minority hill-tribe children.
The Foundation would like to thank all our volunteers who have organized the event and our generous donors for helping us further our cause and reach out to more needy children, providing them with education, nutrition, and primary health care, for a better and brighter future.
