10th Anniversary Gala Dinner in Singapore
On the 26th of February, characterized by its colonial architecture and surrounded by lush greeneries, Alkaff Mansion Risorante provided an elegant setting for hosting 100 distinguished guests, many of them long term supporters of the foundation, to celebrate its 10th Anniversary.
The 10th Anniversary Gala dinner beautifully hosted by fashion journalist Rana Wehbe was a perfect occasion for Foundation’s Founder and President Pasquale Pistorio and Director Elena Pistorio to showcase many of its accomplishments and present ambitious and long term plans for the future which will benefit children in Thailand, Cambodia, Morocco, Burkina Faso.
Guests enjoyed a 3-course dinner especially created for that evening by Chef Simone Depalmas and homemade ice cream sponsored by Alfero Gelato. The evening was not only a culinary success but also a magical musical event. We were very fortunate to have a world class mezzo soprano Angela Hodgins and an internationally renowned pianist Kseniia Vohkmianina to perform that evening, gathered guests were enchanted by their repertoire ranging from Mozart to Gershwin.
Despite the elegant setting, culinary feast and world-class musical entertainment , the focus of the evening was kept on the foundation’s cause and mission and guest generously bid on the items during silent and live auction conducted by Gianluca Lionetto, which helped bring the total amount of funds raised that evening to nearly 50,000 SGD.
Organizing the 10th Anniversary Gala Dinner was a big undertaking and was only made possible wit the help of an awesome team of volunteers. Pistorio Foundation has been very privileged over the last 10 years to be supported by a wonderful group of volunteers and this event was no exception.
