MOHAMED LASRY

Chairman of Board of STMicroelectronics Morocco

Born in Morocco, Mohamed Tajeddine LASRY is a married with two children. He has earned a PhD in Electronics from the National Polytechnic Institute of Toulouse, France. In 1984, he joined SGS-THOMSON Microelectronics company, renamed since 1998 STMicroelectronics, where he was in charge of many responsibilities within the Quality Department.

 

He was then promoted to Manufacturing Director, where he had the opportunity to set up the first automatic lines.

 

From 1995 to1998 Mohamed Tajeddine LASRY occupied the position of General Manager in a French group that manufactures cables and wires for the automotive market.

 

In 1998, Mohamed Tajeddine LASRY was appointed as General Manager of STMicroelectronics Morocco, which includes a sub-system manufacturing plant, two test & assembly plants, and a Design & Conception Center, all with a total headcount of 4600 people.

 

In April 2006, Mohamed Tajeddine LASRY was promoted as Chairman of the Board of STMicroelectronics Morocco, SA.

 

Mohamed Tajeddine LASRY is involved within the Moroccan employers’ organization to represent electronic industries and new technologies sector. He is member of the board of Moroccan pension fund and National Research Center. He also takes part in socially engaged associations.

 

Mohamed Tajeddine LASRY was decorated by his majesty MOHAMMED VI, with the “Wissam Alaouite de l’ordre de Chevalier”.
