Pasquale Pistorio is awarded the 2011 IEEE Robert N. Noyce Medal Award on August 20 in San Francisco. “The medal, sponsored by the Intel Foundation, recognizes Pistorio for contributions to, and leadership in, the technology, business and environmental development of the global semiconductor and electronics industry.” IEEE News Release

As part of the award, Pasquale Pistorio recieved US$ 20,000 which he has donated to the Pistorio Foundation and will be devolved by the Foundation to the humanitarian crisis in the Horn of Africa.
